Siftings Book

Our Siftings research documents histories of discrimination and resistance at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Moreover, it also connects to broader historical questions, themes, and narratives surrounding discrimination and resistance in the United States. Most of these readings also connect with our primary source teaching guides and oral history guides, which can be used for lesson planning and to add greater depth to the readings.

Below, you will find a PDF copy of our entire Siftings collection, a link to an online version, links to all our chapters organized thematically and chronologically, and a list of all our chapters organized by date of publication. Additionally, every chapter has a download link. As more research comes out, we will update the categories and links on this page so you can stay up to date.
